Unless a seed falls to the earth

"Unless a seed falls to the earth and dies, it cannot bear fruit. If it does die, then it bears fruit in plenty" John 12:24.

I need to rally a friend passing through a tough time and that's all I can think of. Unless a seed falls to the earth and dies.... Dies. Dies. Dies. Death heavily on my mind, but not the death that yields nothing in return, death that brings forth life.

When you pass through the phase where everything seems to have come apart and there is nothing left, surely something good can come from that. Growth can burst forth. It's the same principle as "He that is down need fear no fall" and "When you're down, there's only one way to go and that's up".

My only words of comfort - don't be afraid to lay it all down and start all over again no matter how difficult, painful or hard it may be. Every other thing may have fallen apart but where there is life, there is hope and as scripture says, "this hope does not disappoint us" Romans 5:5 for "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" John 16:33.

So be of good cheer and take heart, all is well.
